The Romanian Competition Council has recently approved the acquisition of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications by both Vodafone Romania and Digi Romania. The companies involved will now look to finalise the binding terms of the transaction. More details will be provided in due course.
Subject to the deal completing, Vodafone will acquire Telekom Romania, respectively a significant proportion of its assets including all employees, postpaid customers, business clients, retail network and technical network infrastructure. Digi Romania will acquire the company’s prepaid business and customers, as well as other certain assets.
