3The development of Romanian-Polish economic relations continues to accelerate, as confirmed by the statistics and forecasts presented by the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PRBCC) during the reception organized to mark Poland’s Independence Day and Romania’s National Day. Bilateral trade in goods currently reaches approximately EUR 12 billion annually, strengthening Poland’s position as one of Romania’s most important commercial partners.

Furthermore, cumulative Polish investments in Romania exceed EUR 1.7 billion, contributing significantly to the shared economic dynamic. Poland ranks fourth among the largest suppliers of goods to Romania and sixth as an outlet market for Romanian exports, thus being one of Romania’s most important commercial partners.

During the event, the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bucharest, Artur Tarasewicz, emphasized the special importance of November 11th and December 1st in the history of the two nations, as well as their solid relationship to date. With a shared past and a strategic partnership dating back to the interwar period, the Romanian-Polish partnership continues to develop both economically and culturally.

Artur Tarasewicz“Our countries are connected by unique relations. It is symbolic that, thanks to the Chamber’s initiative, the business environments together with representatives of the administration from both countries are jointly celebrating the most important national holidays today,” stated Artur Tarasewicz, Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bucharest.

By jointly celebrating the two historical events, the representatives of the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry aimed to highlight the closeness between the two nations and strengthen the ties between the communities. According to PRBCC data, over 500,000 Polish citizens visit Romania annually, and the country’s accession to the Schengen area, along with the increasing number of direct air connections between Polish and Romanian cities, indicates favorable prospects for further increases in this flow.

“We are pleased that, under these conditions of close cooperation between the two countries on numerous levels and the dynamic development of these relations, we can count on economic self-governing institutions and a solid partner, represented for the mission and the business environment by the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce,” added the representative of the Polish Embassy in Bucharest.

Attendees included members of the Chambers of Commerce from Poland and Romania, partners, and representatives of companies operating in a wide range of industries such as transport and logistics, infrastructure, agri-food, tourism, manufacturing, and consulting services.

Adam Sobieszkoda“We had the pleasure of celebrating together with our Romanian and Polish partners defining historical moments for our countries, and the participation of the business community in these joint celebrations reflects the good Romanian-Polish cooperation. The economic collaboration between the two states is constantly evolving, with more and more companies from Poland expanding their operations in Romania, and Romanian companies finding in Poland a dynamic market and reliable partners. There is a growing interest in investments in Romania, and our mission remains to strengthen the economic bridges and facilitate the development of sustainable and profitable projects for both sides,” declared Adam Sobieszkoda, Executive Director of the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to support Polish and Romanian companies in their efforts to enter and consolidate in their respective markets, offering consulting services, market and industry studies, networking, and representation of members’ interests.
