Realtynno introduces Romania’s first S.O.S. button in a residential app

by

Realtynno, the Romanian company specializing in software products and applications for residential communities, office buildings, shopping centers and the hospitality industry, announces the launch of an S.O.S. feature within the MyCosmopolis app, the first implementation of its kind in a residential community in Romania.

The solution enables the rapid alerting of certified Red Cross volunteers located nearby, transforming a residential management application into an active community safety tool. Developed by Realtynno in partnership with Cosmopolis and the Romanian Red Cross, the new feature expands the role of residential apps beyond administration and communication by helping coordinate emergency response efforts and introducing, for the first time on the local market, a digitally assisted community intervention model integrated directly into a residential application.

When the S.O.S. button in the MyCosmopolis app is activated, an alert is instantly sent via push notification to certified Red Cross volunteers within the community. They receive the requester’s location, relevant information about the incident and the fastest route to the intervention site. The system complements the emergency call to 112 and provides support during the critical period between requesting assistance and the arrival of emergency responders.

“The S.O.S. feature reflects exactly how we believe technology for communities should evolve. We want our application to be more than just an administrative tool. That is why we focused on a real need, safety, and turned it into a process that starts within seconds: alert, location, route, coordination and intervention. Through a well-designed implementation developed together with our partners, Cosmopolis community members can respond faster and more efficiently in critical situations,” said Costin Teodorovici, Co-founder and CTO of Realtynno.

For Realtynno, the project marks a new step in the development of technologies designed for communities and demonstrates that digitalization can go beyond operational efficiency, contributing directly to improved safety and a stronger sense of community.

“The first uses of the feature confirmed its value in real-life situations. Beyond the technological component, we have seen how quick access to information and the ability to send an alert through a simple process can contribute to a faster and better coordinated response. For us, this is one of the ways residential community applications can evolve, moving beyond administrative functions and providing tools that address residents’ real needs,” said Bogdan Jarcă, Co-founder and COO of Realtynno.

Cosmopolis is the first community in Romania to implement this feature as part of a broader strategy aimed at expanding resident-focused services and increasing safety for the community’s more than 17,000 members.

“Cosmopolis was built as a community, not just a residential development. We wanted to provide residents with services that have a direct impact on their quality of life, and this feature addresses a genuine need. Our partnership with Realtynno and the Romanian Red Cross allows us to enhance residents’ safety through a practical feature available in an application they use every day,” said Ozan Tuncer, CEO of Cosmopolis.

The Romanian Red Cross contributes to the project through the training and certification of volunteers involved in emergency response, as well as by coordinating the community response component.

“The volunteers involved in this project are trained in first aid and are members of the very community in which they provide assistance. The technology developed by Realtynno helps reduce the time needed for alerting and coordination, which can make a real difference during the first minutes of an emergency. We would like to emphasize that calling 112 remains the first step in any critical situation, while this feature complements that process and provides support until professional emergency teams arrive,” said Andrei Bazavan, President of the Romanian Red Cross – Cosmopolis Branch.

The implementation within MyCosmopolis, an application also developed by Realtynno, represents the first project of its kind in Romania and opens the possibility of extending the model to other residential communities and complex ecosystems. The company is already exploring similar functionalities for shopping centers, logistics parks, campuses and hospitality projects, where rapid communication and coordination can significantly contribute to improving safety for community members.
