geschftsmann schaut auf computerGEFCO, the world leader in complex supply-chain solutions and the European leader in automotive logistics, today announced a new partnership with Autobid.de, an award-winning used-car online-auction-platform owned by German auction expert Auktion & Markt AG. Moveecar, a GEFCO brand focusing on in-life vehicle management, is leading this new business relationship.

GEFCO is building on its in-depth expertise in the used-car and mobility markets to offer optimized transport solutions, end-to-end visibility and the last-mile delivery experience to end customers now expected from major brands. Customers can evaluate transport costs and conditions already during the ongoing auction process and book transport easily online as well.

“We are very enthusiastic about working with Autobid.de, a leader on the international used-car market,” commented Frank Erhard, General Manager of GEFCO Germany. “We share a vision of comprehensive first-class service for a seamless customer experience and are very pleased to be providing our partner with our Moveecar one-stop shop offering.”

Peter Lindner, Member of the Board of Auktion & Markt AG, said, “From a customer experience standpoint, last-mile delivery is a critical step in the auction customer’s journey. It is the first physical contact with the car brand after a digital journey and most of our customers expect the same – or even a better – digital experience they receive in other retail environments. We are delighted to meet this need with GEFCO’s Moveecar services.”

Since the start of the Covid pandemic, the ability to minimize contacts and offer services that protect the integrity of their vehicles has played a critical role in the customer experience and customer confidence. To meet this challenge, GEFCO offers “contactless delivery” (no contact between the driver and the end customer) and prepares delivered vehicles in line with the latest health and safety guidelines.
