Vodafone launches support package for jobseekers through jobseekers.connected platform

Vodafone Romania launches support package for job seekers including professional orientation and guidance, training and reskilling courses, access to medical services in the private medical system, but also connectivity offer.

Jobseekers_connectedAlso, 10 of the eJobs platform users, selected through competition, will benefit from the promotion of their CVs on the social network Facebook enabling them to highlight their CVs with suitable potential employers. According to the latest data from the National Institute of Statistics, in June this year, 425,000 people were actively looking for jobs.

„For people affected by unemployment due to the pandemic, staying connected to the labor market, having access to reskilling and vocational courses, finding a job, while under financial pressure are all the more critical. Through the jobseekers.connected platform, Vodafone aims to support them in developing their professional skills, learning new skills and exploring career opportunities in the field of technology, while providing them with support through medical and voice and mobile data communication services”, Nedim Baytorun, Consumer Business Unit Director, Vodafone România stated.

Professional orientation and guidance:

Vodafone’s Future Jobs Finder tool is helping users of all ages and backgrounds to find digital or technology job opportunities and build a CV.  For jobseekers with backgrounds in non-technology fields, Future Jobs Finder also helps identify transferable skills and strengths, giving recommendations on tech professions and e-learning suited to people’s backgrounds and aptitudes.

At the same time, those who do not have the necessary experience to make a CV or to apply for a job on online platforms, can ask eJobs consultants for help, by calling 021.9124 (normal price,  Monday-Friday, 09: 00-17: 00, except public holidays).

New skills

Vodafone has extended its exclusive partnership with the global e-learning marketplace Udemy, originally launched in 2020 providing access to 650 free, curated courses on personal growth, productivity and professional skills, and essential tech skills.

eJobs CVs promotion in social media

10 of the eJobs platform users who have a completed CV, apply for any job until  August 31st 2021 and register for the competition here, will benefit from the promotion of their CVs on Facebook, the budget allocated to each winner being 1,000 euros.

Connectivity offer

Vodafone is keeping jobseekers connected and supports them while searching for a new career opportunity with prepay offer. Thus users will have all the benefits of the 6 euro prepaid card, at a cost of 4 euro.

At the same time, Vodafone customers will benefit from two months of free, followed by a 10% discount on any subscription to medical services for adults and children, provided by the Regina Maria medical network, through the Vodafone Club loyalty program, available in the My Vodafone application.

• Providing free digital advice, digital tools and end-to-end solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the backbone of economies
• Enabling access to education through connecting skills, e-learning platforms and digital skills development

In January 2021, Vodafone announced that the Vodafone Foundation will invest a further €20 million over the next five years to expand Foundation digital skills and education programs by funding local initiatives in sixteen Vodafone markets. This investment is expected to reach 16 million learners by 2025.

The programs, delivered in partnership with charities and NGOs, will enable people to develop their knowledge and skills in using digital technologies, with the goal to reach millions of primary and secondary learners, those who are not in education, employment or training, and the elderly.

To enable society to build back better, Vodafone’s European network is powered by 100% renewable electricity starting July 2021.  Vodafone also has set a global carbon enablement target of 350m tons CO2e over the ten years to 2030, equivalent to the annual carbon emissions of Italy, which will be delivered through the digital services Vodafone provides to its customers.
