Philips designates Ponderas Academic Hospital as a Reference Center for image-guided therapy

Ponderas Academic Hospital_PhilipsPhilips, a global leader in health technology, and Ponderas Academic Hospital mark a new milestone in their collaboration with the designation of Ponderas as a Philips Reference Center for Image-Guided Therapy (IGT). The status recognizes the shared commitment of the two organizations to supporting the development of minimally invasive procedures, medical education and the exchange of best practices, with the goal of contributing to better patient outcomes.

Chirurg folosind Philips Zenition 30The partnership between Philips and Ponderas, which began in 2026, has developed around a shared vision: using technology to help medical teams make fast, informed decisions and to facilitate patient access to minimally invasive treatments. As part of the collaboration, Ponderas has implemented the Philips One IGT platform, consisting of two fixed angiography systems and one mobile C-arm system, which support a wide range of interventional procedures.

The Philips Reference Center status reflects how technology and clinical evaluation can be integrated to create an environment dedicated to learning, collaboration and innovation. The center will give healthcare professionals from Romania and the region the opportunity to take part in clinical visits, training sessions and experience exchanges, observing the application of IGT solutions in everyday medical practice.
