The Group recorded global revenue of EUR 230.9 million in 2025, employs over 1,000 people, and operates in 17 countries, including Romania. Officially present in the local market since July 1 and operational since September 1, Span Romania primarily targets medium and large companies, with a focus on the banking sector and the public sector. In the long term, the company aims to turn its Bucharest office into a regional hub for the Group.

The decision to enter the local market is part of Span’s next regional growth phase. The company sees Romania as an important market given the development potential of the local technology sector. The targeted opportunities span all three strategic areas at the core of Span’s business and around which the company has built its positioning: cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Nikola Dujmović, Chief Executive Officer, Span„We see strong potential in the Romanian market and an opportunity to build on the expertise and capabilities we have developed across the Group. Our ambition is to build a strong local organization and, over time, develop Bucharest into a regional hub that will support our further growth in this part of Europe”, said Nikola Dujmović, Chief Executive Officer, Span.

Operations in Romania are led by Corneliu Asiraf Pandele, General Manager, with over 20 years of experience in technology, sales, and management. Prior to joining Span, he held leadership positions at companies including IBM and SAS, with responsibilities spanning sales strategy, business development, and partner network expansion.

Corneliu Asiraf Pandele, General Manager, Span Romania„For organizations in Romania, aligning cloud transformation, cybersecurity, data, and artificial intelligence projects to concrete business outcomes is becoming increasingly important. Span can bring all of these capabilities together in a single portfolio, covering the full journey from strategy and implementation to operations. Building on this need, our priority at this stage is to build a sustainable business in the local market and to become a trusted technology partner for organizations in Romania”, said Corneliu Asiraf Pandele, General Manager, Span Romania.

Span covers the full project lifecycle, from strategy and architecture to implementation, managed services, and 24/7 technical support. In addition, Span’s experts develop tailored technology solutions that combine the company’s expertise in data, software and artificial intelligence. Span also enters the Romanian market with the Group’s full ecosystem of international technology partnerships, which includes Microsoft, Google, AWS, Dynatrace, HPE, Broadcom, Veeam, and others.

The company primarily targets medium and large organizations with complex technology environments and significant digital transformation needs. The banking sector and the public sector will be the main areas of interest, and the priority is organizations for which technology is becoming increasingly important for performance, resilience, and growth, and which are looking for a long-term technology partner.

Local recruitment will therefore follow business development and client demand. Span Romania will hire specialists in cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, as well as technical, sales, and services profiles required by a mature local operation. The company’s priority is not headcount growth per se, but building the right combination of skills and a sustainable organization. Over the next three years, the company’s objective is to build a local organization capable of independently delivering projects and services in the Romanian market, with the support of the Group’s expertise, resources, and partnerships.

The expansion is supported by the Group’s financial results: the year 2025 closed with global revenue of EUR 230.9 million, and a net profit of EUR 5.7 million. Most of the Span’s revenue is generated through international affiliated companies operating in Europe, Asia, and the United States, and since 2021 the company’s shares have been listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
